1.This week we had Abu Asama whose wife has land in El Hader and received a Demolition Order for a wooden Toilet and a few bricks he put at the entrance of the cave !

The Civil Administration states facts in the OT and comes out strongly against the local resident. In the first case, Abu Asama, from the village of El-Hader, reveals to us a twisted reality. At the same time that the Civil Administration does not recognize his ownership on his lands and he fights against demolition orders, the settlers actually destroy his property by constant harassments. This week we had Abu Asama whose wife has land in El Hader who received a demolition order for a wooden toilet and a few bricks he put at the entrance of the cave that her forefathers dug in stone before the British Mandate.

We would like to remind you that the Civil Administration uprooted trees that were planted on this land by Nadia Matar – one of the leaders of the extremist right-wing movement “Women in Green. Abu Asama and his family are constantly at risk of attacks and harassment by these criminal settlers.

The hearing for this demolition order will take place tomorrow, May 8th, but Abu Asama told us that the toilet was destroyed by settlers at the end of last month. This order issued by the Civil Administration proves the misuse and unreasonable interpretation of the planning and building law.

Trials to erase Bir El Id in South Hebron Hills

2.The second case, the village of Bir El Id received demolition orders for the solar panels, the only electricity source of the village and is now fighting for its existence and future. The Civil Administration continues its attempt to erase the village of Bir El Id. The residents of the village received a demolition order this week for the solar panels that were built there with the help of the German government. There are 8 panels. This case shows us again the sinister use of the planning law.
